WITNESSES to an unusual incident on a Rubery bus are being asked to contact police.
The incident happened at 5pm on September 23 when the victim, a 21-year-old, got on the bus outside St Chad’s church in New Road, and noticed a man lying down on the back seat.
As they reached the British Legion, in Whetty Lane, the man got up and sat down next to the victim then began speaking aggressively to him.
The man started pacing up and down and the victim saw what he believed to be a knife handle sticking out of his trousers.
The bus travelled along the A38 towards the Lydiate Ash island where it turned left and the victim shouted for the bus driver to call the police. The bus stopped and the man got off.
He was seen picking items up from the side of the road and throwing them at cars.
The man is white, aged 19 to 22, around 5ft 10in tall, medium build, with short black hair and a goatee beard.
He was wearing boots, black combat jeans and T-shirt, a padded body warmer and a black bandana with a white pattern that was folded and tied in a knot at the front of his head. He was also carrying blue paper bags, which appeared to be stuffed with clothes.
Anyone with information should contact PC Sam Peterson, at Rubery police station, on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
