A NEW comedy by Stewart Lee, Elizabeth and Raleigh: Late But Live, is now on a national tour and will be stopping off in Bromsgrove this Friday.
Fresh from its acclaimed premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe, the show follows the format of 2007s hit show Johnson and Boswell: Late But Live, with historical figures returning from the past, with the aim of revising a modern audience's view of their legacy.
The cast is Simon Munnery (Queen Elizabeth I) and Miles Jupp (Sir Walter Raleigh).
Munnery's work as a writer and performer for TV includes Attention Scum which was nominated for a Golden Rose of Montreux, while Jupp is best known for his stand-up comedy (Perrier Best Newcomer nominee 2003) and regularly appears on stage and screen He also appears as Archie The Inventor in popular kids TV series Balamory.
The Artrix show begins at 8pm.
