Bordesley Rovers 2 Bromsgrove Town under-14s 3
TOWN under-14s had to rely on a last minute goal to beat a battling Bordesley Rovers team at the weekend. Town stormed into a two goal lead in the opening eight minutes, as first Ethan Godwin burst through to see his shot well saved and Cameron Wellington run on to score the rebound.
Then Matt Arnold put Godwin through to make it 2–0. Bordesley battled back though and Harry Rhodes did well to win a jostle and prevent a "one on one" with Town's keeper Ilija Daniel, before Bordesley scored twice with goals either side of half-time. In the last quarter, Town finally turned the pressure on with a succession of chances going over or wide.
In the last minute Dan Arnold put in a great early cross which Dan Strange slid in to finish perfectly at the far post. Man of the Match was shared between Tom Forrester for half a game at centre back with the other half in goal, and Strange.
