The only way to describe the 62nd Clent Flower Show, held at Clent parish hall and opened by Anne and Ken Quiney – long standing members of our club, is “a blooming good show.”
The event drew more competitors than previous years, including a large number exhibiting in the children’s classes and an excellent number of visitors, not to mention our local MP, Julie Kirkbride. The exhibits were of a remarkably high standard in all classes, thus indicating the hard work and dedication of all participants. Clent Gardening Club offers a varied programme of interesting garden-based talks, quizzes and visits so whatever your gardening interests, we will have something for you. All are welcome to meetings on the fourth Friday of each month at 7.30 for 7.45pm, normally held at the Clent parish hall, Church Avenue, Clent. For further details please contact John Babb on 0121 550 1176.
