FORMER Tory leader William Hague attended a reception at Routh Hall, Bromsgrove School, on Saturday night when he gave a talk to 200 people.
Mr Hague, the party's shadow home secretary, travelled from Birmingham where he is attending this week's Conservative Party conference.
He was introduce by town MP Julie Kirkbride.
Alan Dent, chairman of Bromsgrove Conservative Association which organised the event after proposing a vote of thanks to Mr Hague, said: “We were very fortunate to get him. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining evening with Mr Hague speaking about the economy, Labour and Tory party policy.
"He met and shook hands with everyone present, including a group of pupils and their tutors from the school."
