SPARKY, a seven-month-old foal, has been stolen from a field in the Bromsgrove area.
The male foal is black and white and stands at 12.2 hands high.
It is worth around £600 and belongs to 14-year-old Brierley Hill schoolboy, Mark Hayward.
The foal was taken from the field in Monument Lane, Lickey, between Wednesday, October 1 and Sunday, October 5.
Mark’s mother, Donna Thompson, said: “Mark is mad on horses.
“He had only had Sparky for a couple of months and worked the whole of his six-week summer holiday mucking out and cleaning tack to earn money towards buying him.
“He was going to ride him when he was old enough and is absolutely devastated.”
Witnesses are being asked to contact the Public Service Desk at Kidderminster Police Station on 08457 444888 or to ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
