GENEROUS Rubery residents helped raise money for a children’s hospital through donations at a local food store.
Shoppers at the Co-operative, in New Road, donated £1,650 for Enzo’s Friends, part of the burns centre at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Staff contributed by holding fancy dress days, car washes and raffles.
Store manager Liz Webb said: “Enzo’s Friends is a very worthwhile charity and does good work for children in the burns centre. We would like to thank all our customers for helping us to raise this tremendous sum of money.”
