GOALSCORERS Deacon Boyce and Luke Bodley gave Rubery under-10s a 2-1 win over Northfield Warriors.
In a typical game of two halves and after being 1-0 down at half time, Lickey played some great football in the second half and totally out classed a team who are third in the league. Boyce brought them level early in the second half with a great individual goal, taking it past two players before slotting it past the keeper.
As the half went on Rubery were totally encamped in the Northfield half but the ball just wouldnt go in.
Finally with only five minutes remaining Rubery got the all important winning goal when from a great passing move the ball was forced out for a corner.
From the quickly taken corner a great one two ended with a ball sent across the area for Bailey Beddows to strike it the goalkeeper managed to keep the ball out but as the ball dropped in the box Bodley was on hand to smash it home.
Two goals from Matt Farrell and one each from Ashley Hector and Louis Phillips earned Rubery under-10s A a 4-3 win at Coleshill Heath Coles.
Rubery under-14s A won 5-2 against Wychall Wanderers. Goals from Matt Hancock (2), James Homer, Dan Francis and Josh Wright sealed the win. Man of the match was Jack Furness.
Wythall under-15s were too strong for Rubery under-15s, winning 9-0.
Ryan Mulholland's strike was the only positive from Rubery under-15s A's 15-1 defeat by Holy Souls.
