JUNIOR RUGBY: Bromsgrove under-14s held on to secure a 15-12 win over Walsall.
The Boars opened the scoring when they were awarded a five-metre scrum.
The ball was secured and spun out wide to Ben Lucas, who took full advantage to stride over.
Walsall came back with a converted try to take the lead.
But the Boars’ pressure continued to p ay off and Lucas ran through to score a second try.
Again Walsall hit back, attacking with pace to score from sustained forward movement.
The score gave them a 12-10 lead going in to the half-time break.
After surviving an early onslaught, Bromsgrove camped themselves in the Walsall half and with four minutes left, Nick Freer was able to break clear andscore in the corner to wrap up the win.
