PHILIP Brookes and Katie Barratt were married on Easter Saturday at Aldridge parish church by the Rev Richard Taylor.
Philip, of Tamworth, Staffs, is the youngest son of John and Julia Brookes, of Woodrow Lane, Catshill, Bromsgrove. Katie, also of Tamworth, Staffs, is the youngest daughter of Glyn and Sylvia Barratt, of Walsall.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a rum coloured French laced Ian Stuart ‘Inez’ dress and she carried a bouquet of pink and cream roses and hydrangers.
She was accompanied by Samantha Tranchant, the bride’s sister, Sarah Slater-Jones, the bride’s cousin, Charlotte Brookes, the groom’s sister, Hannah and Josh Tranchant, the bride’s niece and nephew, and Amelia and Lorie Barratt, the bride’s niece and nephew.
Mat Eastwood was the best man.
The happy couple held their reception at Somerford Hall, Blewood, Staffs. Katie plays with Armington Brass Band and the band played during the church service.
The bride is a teacher and the groom is a planning engineer.
