'Allo 'Allo original Vicki Michelle sashays her way to the county this month to star in the theatre version of the smash hit television sitcom.
She is joined by Hi-de-Hi!'s Jeffrey Holland for the show which opens for a week at Malvern's Festival Theatre from next Monday (June 15).
Jeffrey leads a cast of 16 as the hapless French café owner, René Artois, and Vicki dons her French waitress outfit once more in the role of Yvette Carte-Blanche.
Well known for his roles in television sitcoms including Hi-de-Hi!, You Rang M’Lord? and Oh Doctor Beeching as well as BBC Radio comedy, including Week Ending, Jeffrey Holland is excited by the prospect of starring in the stage tour.
He said: “Of all David Croft’s television comedies, ‘Allo, ‘Allo is the only one in which I have never appeared and I’m delighted to be taking part in the stage adaptation, playing the iconic René Artois in what is possibly one of television’s funniest comedies.
And Jeffery, who is immensely popular with Malvern audiences following his appearance in By Jeeves, says Gordon Kaye will certainly be a hard act to follow."
The tour follows a special one-off episode marking the 25th anniversary of the show released last year, entitled ‘The Return of ‘Allo, 'Allo in which several of the original cast, including Vicki, were reunited to perform their roles.
