THE discovery of a body, and a sash window that seems to have a mind of its own, are the unlikely events and props that make up a comedy coming to Birmingham’s Crescent Theatre.
Out of Order, by Ray Cooney, stars a Conservative junior minister who plans to spend the evening with the lovely Jane Worthington, a secretary to the prime minister – but things go disastrously wrong. Desperately trying to get out of an extremely sticky situation, Richard calls for his principle private secretary, but through his lies the secretary sinks further and further into trouble and ends up with his own identity crisis.
This hugely successful show received the 1991 Olivier Award for Comedy of the Year.
The production will be performed between Tuesday, September 22, and Saturday, September 26, at 7.30pm in The Main House, with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £13.50 (concessions £12.50) and can be booked on 0121 643 5858.
