WOLVERHAMPTON Grand Theatre is to open its new autumn season with one of the best-loved musicals of all time, Singin’ In The Rain.
The musical exudes all the style and spectacle of the MGM golden age and features some of the best loved comedy routines, dance numbers, and songs ever written.
Songs include Good Morning, Make ‘em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the most famous song and dance number Singin’ In The Rain’.
It stars Olivier Award winning, West End and Broadway star Tim Flavin in the role of Don Lockwood, the famous part immortalised by Gene Kelly in the film version.
“Gene Kelly has had a huge influence on my life in terms of wanting to be a performer,” said Tim.
“I’ve gone from being a little boy watching the film version to going full circle, performing and living it six days, eight shows a week - it’s fantastic.”
Singin’ In The Rain promises to lift your spirits and send you out singing and dancing, whatever the weather.
It runs from Tuesday, Saturday 15 to Saturday, September 19. Tickets cost £8.50-29.50 with concessions available from 01902 429212.
