Leighton Town 1 Bromsgrove Rovers 2
Bromsgrove went to Bell Close and claimed a valuable victory against Leighton Town as they looked to pull away from the foot of the table. As they gained back three points of the ten they lost for entering administration.
The opening goal was a wonderful effort with a great run down the right by Jordan Street, whose cross to the far post was headed home past Leighton Goalkeeper Kevin Higay in the 25th minute.
Eight minutes later Danny Scheppel added a second from a route one move.
Karl Lewis's clearence upfield was dummied by Omar Spence and Scheppel continued his run to despatch the ball past Higay into the bottom left hand corner.
Bromsgrove almost got a third just before the interval as Jemiah Richards rose highest only to see his header clipp the the post .
The second half saw Rovers protect their lead and only restrict Leighton to long range efforts which did not trouble the Rovers goal.
Leighton got a late consolation in the 90th minute when a Nick McFarlane left wing cross was headed home by Aston Goss but it was too late to trouble Rovers.
