Bromsgrove Rovers 0 Hitchin Town 1
Bromsgrove gifted their visitors three valuable points and surrendered their unbeaten home record.
The goal came in the 19th minute when a long punt up-field by Dean Gilbert bounced over Rovers' goalkeeper Karl Lewis allowing James Arlick to roll the ball into the unguarded net.
Hitchin had the better of the first half and Rovers' Luke Darby headed off the line from Arlick on six minutes before Jeff Hammond went through one-on-one with Lewis but was denied by a fine block.
The second half saw the miss of the season as Arlick somehow screwed the ball wide of an empty net from three yards out.
Town's goal then came under seige with Martin Bennett twice pulling off saves to deny Jemiah Richards midway through the half.
Despite the home side's pressure they could not find an equaliser.
