Bromsgrove Rovers 2 AFC Sudbury 3
Defensive frailities cost 10 man Rovers dear as AFC Sudbury claimed victory by the odd goal in five at the Victoria Ground after playing the last 30 minutes without Marlon Walters who was dismissed for two bookable offences.
Craig Hughes gave the visitors a fifth minute lead after volleying home from close range from an enormous long throw from Curtis Haynes-Brown.
Rovers responded but found Sudbury Goalkeeper in inspired form pulling off saves from Luke Findley, Danny Campbell, Alex Woodhouse and Danny Scheppel to keep Sudbury lead intact.
The home side equalised in the 55th minute, Findleyvolleying home from an acute angle surprising Wilmot at his near post from Scheppel's cross.
Walters then saw red after collecting his second yellow for a late tackle in the 62nd minute.
Sudbury substitutes Kevin Hawes and Danny Bloomfield scored within a minute of each other as the Bromsgrove defence committed defensive suicide in the 81st and 82nd minutes respectivly.
Straight from the re-start Scheppel pulled a goal back with an effort that flew through a ruck of players leaving Wilmot unsighted, into the net.
The Greens piled constant pressure on the Sudbury goal but could not find a way past the inmpressive Wilmot to salvage anything from a pulsating match.
