Madam,
I have just read the article called “Part of long running bus service in Bromsgrove axed“ which stirred up a myriad of emotions.
This news couldn’t have come at a worse time for a lot of people – just as the country is heading back into a new sort of normality of living with Covid and many employers are encouraging their staff to return to the office, and as a the world is trying to go greener , and as we are in the midst of a cost of living crisis First choose now to remove a life line for many workers !!!!!
Using the 144 bus I know it is very rarely empty and therefore there will be many commuters will now be faced with very difficult decisions, and in some cases loosing their jobs!!
As a compromise couldn’t First terminate their bus at Rubery St Chads or even Longbridge island, thus allowing them to easily turn the bus round to go back towards Bromsgrove and Worcester? This would at least give people the chance of using public transport to complete their journeys as both of these drop off point would allow people to be within a short walk of a Nation Express West Midlands bus.
Well done First – you have managed yet again to leave your loyal customers in the lurk and completely abandon them !!! I hope you are proud of all the mental anguish and misery you are set to cause
