IN reply to David Heath’s letter suggesting the Bromsgrove Forum for Older People have given up their fight for the parking concessions to be reinstated – nothing could be further from the truth.
It is a pity he did not get his facts right.
The fact is, we only postponed the meeting in order that we might do research on the issue to see whether the predicted figures given to us are true. We also need to get other information as well.
When we have our information together, we will be presenting it to the council for re-negotiation.
For Mr Heath to suggest that Bromsgrove residents have no commercial aptness about them is very demeaning to all its elderly people as is totally out of order.
Does he not think some of us may well have been in positions where good business acumen was crucial? Sometimes the art of good practice is to play a waiting game and be sure of your facts before jumping in.
So give us credit for crucial planning and watch this space. Instead of being so critical of us, perhaps he would like to join us.
