I WAS disgusted to read the remarks made by Gerald Keyton-Leys referring to the people of Droitwich Spa as local hill-billies.
Who does he think he is?
A vast amount of people in this town appreciate Droitwich Spa's history, and without a town's history things today would not exist.
We would all like to see the town thrive and attract visitors.
Droitwich Spa is an up and coming town with or without a shopping mall and secured parking. The canal restoration is on-going and I am sure that alone will bring in plenty of visitors.
Mark Heel always stands up for what he believes whether his views are right or wrong. He is, as others, very passionate about the Spa.
If Mr Keyton-Leys thinks that way about the people of Droitwich Spa then maybe it should be him that moves elsewhere not us.
K Bradley, Vines Lane, Droitwich Spa.
