WE were disappointed the Advertiser/Messenger chose to print a letter – ‘Education lottery’ that we know does not reflect our school today.
Nevertheless, we understand you have a duty to publish opinions of people in society. We disagree with the opinions of the parent who wrote the letter and this is supported by OFSTED who, in January, stated that “North is delivering a sound education to the students”.
In addition to this in a recent parental survey commissioned by an independent review group, the main findings were as follows:– ‘The survey results reveal the school has reason to be happy with most of its activities. Of the parents who were questioned, only 15 per cent revealed a concern regarding behaviour. This is no more significant than any other comprehensive school’.
Tony Evans, Deputy headteacher, North Bromsgrove High School.
