I DON’T think all the money spent, and upheaval caused, has done Droitwich precinct any favours.
It is rapidly losing all of its quaintness and becoming like so many other soulless shopping centres.
Most of the cover has gone which was useful when it rained, and all the new seats are out in the open – which is great on a sunny day but nowhere to sit under cover if it rains unless you can afford to sit in the ‘glass dome’ eating muffins!
Also, a central post-box would have been an asset for people who find it difficult walking all the way up to Victoria Square to post a letter.
