I WAS utterly amazed by the comments made by Councillor Roger Hollingworth regarding the potential listing of Parkside School quoted in the Advertiser/Messenger.
All I can say is that the councillor has obviously not read the Area Action Plan for Bromsgrove town centre produced by the council he is supposed to be head of.
On page 11 is a picture of Parkside School with the following environmental objective stated; "Conserve and enhance the historic built environment heritage..."
On page 52 it is clearly stated the Parkside School site is not currently part of the designated town centre development area. In fact, to include it is described as a, "potential alteration".
The document I am quoting from is supposed to be the basis of consultation with the townspeople. Throughout the document are many requests that start with the words, “We welcome your feedback...”
It seems such feedback is far from welcome as far as Councillor Hollingworth is concerned.
