WOULD anyone from Bromsgrove District Council care to explain why it was felt necessary to change the steel fence bordering the Charford recreation field for a wooden one with a mesh overlay?

To my mind the new wooden fence has a very limited life span as opposed to the now removed steel one.

We are constantly reminded of the current economic state by the curtailment of certain services, so it would be nice to know if the cost of the new fence was offset by the selling of the scrap metal of the old fence.
