BROMSGROVE Sporting have signed goalkeeper Dan Platt from Hednesford Town.

The former Halesowen Town stopper arrives at the Victoria Ground following the departure of regular keeper Tony Breedon to Nuneaton Borough.

He will now do battle with Jono Brown for the number one shirt.

Manager Bren Kelly said: “I’m glad to get Platty on board – he has really impressed with his keenness to join.

“He knows Jono holds number one and is willing to push for the shirt, which is brilliant to hear.

“He is an extremely capable keeper and a very experienced step three stopper.”
