WITH the non-league football season almost over, why not look back at those players who have impressed the most from across the Worcestershire clubs?
Thanks to nominations on social media, season stats and personal opinion (through games I have watched), Worcester News Sports editor Marcello Cossali-Francis has produced his 'Worcestershire non-league Team of the Season'.
From Pershore Town and Worcester Raiders in Step 6, all the way up to Alvechurch, Bromsgrove Sporting and Redditch United in Step 3, everyone has been assessed and here is what I have come up with:
It is a pretty formidable looking back-line with Worcester City's versatile Aaron Roberts, Alvechurch skipper and leader Jamie Willets as well as Redditch United's player of the season Ryan Wollacott and Malvern Town energetic left-back Lewis Platt.
The midfield is packed with quality and not short of goals either with both Evesham's Kyle Belmonte and Pershore's Sam Clark capable of chipping in with plenty. Then the rock in the middle Nathan Hayward (Bromsgrove) providing the stability.
Dylan Hart of Bewdley Town leads the line having scored 26 goals in 36 games in the Midland Football League Premier and his goals ensured Bewdley stayed in the league.
Harry Clark has scored 25 for Malvern, so not far behind Hart and has been a threat for The Hillsiders throughout the campaign in the Hellenic Premier down the left.
Bailey Fuller completes the starting eleven and what a signing he has been for Worcester City. 16 goals and 8 assists for the winger, who has often been the star man for Tim Harris' men, leading City to a top four finish in the Midland Football League Premier.
The replacements include the Pershore Town shot-stopper Eddie Cox, who was the hero in many of their penalty shoot-out wins this season.
Josh Dugmore at just 19 has stood out for Bromsgrove in what has been a challenging season and the full-back has shown what a bright future he has.
Josh Willis looks far too good for Step 6 and scored two hat-tricks for Worcester Raiders after his move from Pershore Town earlier this year. Isaac Cooper is another who has shone for the Sixways-based side.
Alvechurch are well represented in this team stars and the midfielder has been one of the first names of the teamsheet this season.
Calum Flanagan of Redditch has proved a rock for the Reds and Stourport's Lee Chilton completes the squad.
Cannot forget the managers, mind you!
Alvechurch have exceeded all expectations this season and came so close to a play-off final, losing in the semi-final to eventual winners Peterborough Sports.
Ian Long has guided the ship and deserves so much credit, as does Bewdley Town boss Chris Cores, who somehow managed to keep the team in the Midland Football League Premier when it seemed a job too much for anyone a few months ago.
