AVONCROFT'S under-13s travelled to Bromsgrove in the league hoping for a second victory over their near-neighbours in little over a fortnight.
Bromsgrove won the toss and decided to bat.
Sharp fielding and excellent tight Croft bowling from Hardeep Hundal (1-14), Matt Duffill (2-18) and Jack Brighton, taking one wicket and allowing the batsmen to just six runs from his four overs, restricted Bromsgrove to 85 from their 20 overs.
However, the work in the field clearly took its toll on the nine-man Croft side and they were only able to manage 64 runs in reply, with Billy Skinner the pick of Bromsgrove's bowlers taking 4-17 with some excellent spin bowling.
His spell secured Bromsgrove a 21-run win.
