Bromsgrove's Ladies hockey team started their short pre-season programme with a resounding 5-0 win over newly promoted Kidderminster.
Town opened the scoring when good right wing play from Vicky Powell set up Chrissie Ashworth, who turned tightly and put the ball into the corner of the net.
Bromsgrove dominated proceedings and Ange Gibson soon tidied up a messy goalmouth scramble from close range.
Tricky Burton and Powell both went near as Town pressed forward and soon after half-time Alice Taylor, returning from a long term injury, fired the ball home from distance.
Midfielder Charlie Cole got in on the act with a smart finish Gibson and added her second with ten minutes to go.
Further Town pressure went unrewarded and they ran out winners by 5-0.
Coach Alan Gormley said: "It is good to start on a winning note, especially playing as well as we did.
"It was a game we ought to have won and to do so as comfortably as we did is a great credit to the hard pre season training the girls have done.
“I am very pleased with all their efforts.”
The second team lost 2-1 to Stourport thirds.
Bromsgrove's ladies training is up and running at Bromsgrove School, between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday nights.
