FAIRFIELD Villa suffered their third defeat in a row in the Midland Combination Division One after being edged out 2-1 by Alveston on Saturday.
Defeat means that Villa are 10th in the table after losing to title-chasing Alveston.
Meanwhile, Droitwich Spa's rollercoaster season continued as they went down away at Littleton 5-2, a result which leaves them 13th in the table.
In Division Two Droitwich's reserve team lost 5-1 to Racing Club Warwick.
Spa and Villa will be aiming to fair better in the President's Cup round one on Saturday, when Fairfield welcome Thimblemill REC on Saturday and Droitwich play Newhall United at home (both clubs 3pm kick-off).
Spa's reserves go to Cadbury Athletic reserves for the second round of the Challenge Vase round two on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
