FOOTBALL: Droitwich Spa Veterans got their season up and running with a 2-2 draw against Bredon.
After their 3-1 reversal away to Stourbridge two weeks ago, the Vets faced another tricky away fixture.
Once again, a beautiful autumnal morning and a superb playing surface promised a competitive game of football for the Vets, who were looking for a decent result before their next game at home to Brereton.
Although the weather and conditions were good, the first-half was rather scrappy with neither side producing the football they were capable of and the teams went in 0-0 at half time.
Bredon came out in the second half bursting from the blocks and within 25 minutes were 2-0 up.
Things were looking bleak for the Vets, but striker Dave Price pulled one back and Brian Imrie scored a late equaliser to earn them a point.
