Bromsgrove started with the confidence borne of an unbeaten early season run and an excellent win the previous week against Burton.
Town’s pack was again dominant in the early exchanges and particularly in the tight scrum.
With pace out wide, in the form of wingers Sam Lofthouse and Warren Oliver, it was Bromsgrove who presented the greater threat.
Sam Lofthouse was first to score one of his hat-trick of tries in his winning performance.
Lofthouse added another try in the first half and then followed up an excellent grubber kick from the ever dependable Duncan Roke to score his third in the second half.
Not wanting to be left out of the action Bromsgrove’s other winger, Warren Oliver, making his first team debut, also finished off an excellent try when breaking down the right hand side wing.
While Camp Hill managed a couple of tries, they did not possess the firepower to seriously threaten a superior Bromsgrove XV.
Camp Hill competed well in the loose and particularly in the lineout throughout the second half. But Bromsgrove’s defence, led by openside Chris Morgan, was superb.
He was ably assisted by fellow back row colleagues Nigel Burrows and Drew Harper.
Unfortunately Drew injured his shoulder after an immense tackle and had to leave the field.
Nigel Burrows added to this season’s try count when he picked up the ball from a poor Camp Hill kick on his own ten metre line and, with clever interplay and support with the winger, managed to run the ball in for an excellent try.
Good as this try was, it was eclipsed by a remarkable second half score from Roke.
He again picked up a loose deep kick from Camp Hill, this time in his own 22, then proceeded to side step his way through the entire Camp Hill defence as he progressed up the pitch.
As he reached their 22 Roke realised he had left his own support behind and consequently had little alternative but to run the try in what was a breathtaking solo display.
Ben Copson had his kicking boots on and slotted four conversions and two penalties.
Bromsgrove won the match by some considerable margin and had they been more clinical in their attacks, and not visibly relaxed, they could have comfortably added an extra 20 points.
