BROMSGROVE Sporting have confirmed the signing of former Worcester City strike Demetri Brown, following his release from Hereford FC.
Brown joined City for the second time on dual-registration terms back in December 2020, having left the club for The Bulls back in February of last year.
The former Tividale goal-machine joined Worcester in the summer of 2019 but attracted attention from club's higher up the non-league pyramid from the off and when Hereford came calling, it was an offer he could not refuse.
He only made two appearances for Hereford during the curtailed 2019/20 season and joined City to gain more minutes, but did not feature in the blue and white as Covid restrictions cut the 2020/21 campaign short.
Brown is now recovering from surgery to his knee and was still registered with City until this week, but has agreed to join Step 3 Sporting as he looks to reignite his career.
Bromsgrove boss Bren Kelly commented: “Demetri is an exciting talent. We always create chances and I have no doubt he will score goals for us, he is strong, powerful, and very quick and it’s what we need and the top end of the pitch.
"I was very impressed when I saw him play at Worcester, he then went to Hereford but never really got going there.
"But he’s hungry and eager and most importantly, he works extremely hard."
